Latest Work

I still have some kinks to work out, like how the video is SO fast. So we'll call this the rough cut!

Mies Van der Rohe

Our assignment was to pretend that any architect would remodel your living space (for free!) and design what that space would look like. I chose Mies Van der Rohe, a mid-century modernist known for his work with open, airy spaces using concrete glass and steel. I pretended that I knocked down all of the neighboring apartments, but kept it up on stilts (one of his houses, The Farnsworth house floods every spring... so i wanted to avoid that, plus, i love the view from my balcony, so I wouldnt want to give that up). These are still rough, as I haven't added any light, and still need to make a few more pieces of furniture.

By Wed, this will be a walk through animation of my awesome apartment!

Silly

So for our web design class we explored non-verbal navigation...aka making weird and silly websites using photoshop and dreamweaver and hotspots (whoohoo)

So check it out - scroll down to project 2.o for the link (ps - use safari to view these websites - i know everyone loves firefox, but safari is more forgiving for HTML)

The point of the navigation is to take your time and look for the icon switch (from an arrow to a little pointer finger)

Woodland Romp

My Etching 2 had an all class group assignment to create a public show. We each made 2 prints, and the theme was they had to be framed. Photography by Taryn Cowart
